Of course yay ! :P
You're better than me ( regarding the remote AC)
It's really not annoying to me .... I get the car nice and cool when I get in.. That's important
Regarding lockups I didn't got any , no reboots either .

My jeep came with 3.19 and remote commands work fine via iPhone running 6.1.3.

Ses or mil (engine light) should be on in run mode if the engine is not started. That is the indicator that the vehicle should be "running" but the engine didn't start.

OK, This is almost too tough to explain just on a radio but I will put it in more general terms and give you one specific example.

If a hardware part is likely to fail it probably will at some point due to a defect. When we get into electronics and modules it is often not that straight forward. So basically the way it often goes is you try to update the firmware in a module and then if that does not go well you replace that module. If the firmware takes then usually that piece of hardware will be fine. What they change is that some of these modules that are not always taking updates well are now running that newer firmware from the factory. So it is pretty difficult for me to just say here is a list of things improved.

I will give one example simply because it has been widely mentioned on here so there is no issues in sharing. There are many components or modules in the actual radio (not always physically but part of the radio operation). The Sierra Wireless card is one of those components and originally that card was flashed with a certain firmware upon the initial release of the radio (those running older than 13.10). During one of or both of the Recent UConnect updates part of the program load was to update the card... Many of these did not take properly and the service departments will either need to firmware update them themselves or in some cases the radio needs to be replaced.

There is a whole list of little things that have changed in the radios but like the Sierra Wireless card, as long as the current components accept the updates then there is nothing to worry about because the next step up in software will not be a concern (it is already running a software verified to be good to the next update).

I realize this is not a perfectly straight answer because it is based on a diagniostic tree. The one that stands out is the wireless card though and some will require service visits and proper diagnosis.

I will also post a list of verified fixes for 13.19.0 now that it has been verified on a lot of hardware.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

Below is a list of additional or more descript fixes in 13.19.0. If you have these problems then I suggest upgrading to this software. If you are running 13.19.0 and any of these issues are still a problem including VR Recognition I suggest you re-load the update (not something the dealer will think of but I have personally witnessed it correcting a problem on a reload)

More to Video_Pilots' note if you do have other problems that are not corrected by the update they may be corrected by replacement hardware. I am not a Chrysler tech but you are welcome to post your concerns here and if I see something that I am aware of I can give you my personal "opinion" . One item not in this release and confirmed for a future release is correcting the loss of radio presents. I know this is happening randomly for some of you.

Thx,

RA2 Only Phone pairing lost with each ignition cycle (13.12.1)

All Other updates for DS/WK/ZD Body on both RA3 and RA4 unless otherwise noted.

Battery Drain - When new radio is registered it receives executable files to process SMS requests. If executable files are not received radio can't process high priority requests and won't stay asleep.

No turn-by-turn in cluster or turn list on HU

GPS failures at temperatures below 0C, Sierra upgrade enhancements, Sierra corruption recovery improvements

Nav units not showing correctly (ft instead of mi)

AM popping noises on weak stations and/or slight pop before soft mute is engaged (slight pop when tuning from strong station to adjacent frequency)

Radio overheats. Fixed the temperature that the display shuts down for improved user experience when temperature is high

Heated seat controls through radio do not function/dispaly correctly during startup

Speed controlled volume not functioning correctly

HMI issue with insert device after "unplayable device" & no HMI displayed

Steering Wheel Control operation corrected at startup.

Device controls are greyed out during ignition on with iPod connected

Address display screen wording errors

"please insert usb" displayed during boot mode

Tuner mutes on startup

Drivers Memory feature causes SiriusXM failure

US -HD now defaults to 'OFF' for reduced complaints about 'channel switching'

iPod Shuffle does not stay connected through ignition cycles

Fixes for FM freq display after 20 min shutdown

"LO" temps displayed upon each vehicle start

RA4 Only No Tuner, HMI, & Audio on ROW RA4

Fix ROW direct tune

Fix for ROW languages not present

Spanish translation error corrected.

Nav performance enhancements (Reduced CPU Loading)

Improved radio response times

HD radio - improved seeking to HD substations

Improved SXM performance

Radio Stability improvement

Updated Sprint Interface Software

Not a bad idea. If you have a registered radio... please allow for at least a couple of days of your radio doing some unusual slow things and lock ups as the OTA updates happen

Yes exactly. Sometimes certain functions on the radio slow down (or halt) during these updates. Not sure that is what you experiece, but many people have reported some minor freezing after the update that was gone a couple of days later.

will wait another day or 2 then if it still does it i will re-run. The only odd one was the screen blacking out. Not off.. just black.

Wow, "Ask, and ye shall receive!" Thanks Willx! I understood from your earlier comment about with Software/HW relationships how it can be difficult to articulate (having done component level electronics servicing and some coding most of my working years, - AMX & Crestron as well back in the day ), so really appreciate the detail you provided. Not too shabby for "not a Chrysler Tech"!! Thanks again for the "more than expected" reply. - Video_Pilot.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

My jeep was built late June and came with a factory install of 3.19, yet still have some of that list, especially media card lags, phone requires service, got the "lo" temp today after remote starting, etc. Not worried as these are minor, great system overall and I am confident that all of this will be addressed by fall.

Thanks for the detailed post Willx, glad to see they are taking even minor glitches seriously.
