Not too shabby for "not a Chrysler Tech"!! Thanks again for the "more than expected" reply. - Video_Pilot.
AMX and Crestron...... Interesting. I would bet my entire net worth that Willx and you may share something in common....

Won't help you much, because you would loose

Nearly half of all of my business is working with AMX and Crestron Dealers!

Hope you didn't wager much

As a former Crestron/AMX guy, you should look at your UConnect head as a Processor and everything else as drop in modules like a Thermostat for HVAC Control.... So you more than anyone else understands there is the OS running on the Control Processor with code in front of that talking to a bunch of devices on a bus similar to Crestnet, each with their own firmware and sometimes software (phones).

That also maybe gives you an unfair hint as to how much the new UConnect is capable of.

For folks having cooling issue in remote start, I have noticed even if I manually start, it may take 20 mins or so, if at all, for my summit to cool down.. Seems like the ac doesn't work too well at all if idling, but does fine at highway speeds or even driving at all. My '11 Durango was sorta the same way tho..

One thing about radio I don't like is long boot time.. Wish it could go into a hybrid sleep state for like 12 hours after shutdown or something so it would be ready quicker on start... After 12 hrs maybe then have it go completely off. Would give a decent blend of being ready for next driving cycle vs killing battery.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

i agree... the last one (RHB nav) would boot fast.. and you could hit accept and jump right into NAV, this one... every time it boots it has to "activate" that seem really odd, why does it have to activate it? its there...installed... and its not a subscription.

What the system is doing is initializing the map database. You have to understand they the RA4 map database is significantly more complex than the RHB. It has 3d renderings as well as point of view navigation. These are large database files that the system has to collate while booting. That's why you see "Navigation is being activated"

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

ahhh it should say " Navigation maps loading" then i would say "take your time!" lol
activating is the wrong choice of wording (in my opinion)
