Anyway, keeping an eye on this.
It was, but it doesn't anymore... Messaging always downloads 127 items. Seriously. It updates to the latest when I get in, but it is always 127. I can listen to texts from that screen, but it won't notify me if new ones show up. I also can't send any via voice right now.

I need to wipe out my phone message history again and see where that gets me. That is truly a PITA that should not be necessary though...

Yes this is one of the features I think they still need to work on. I just can't understand why you wind a radio back to an older version to make the system more buggy than before just to fix 1 problem.

My service manager has a 2013 Charger SRT8 and he said he just repairs his phone out of habit. He said he's so used to it that he doesn't even give it a second thought.

He got tired of waiting for Chrysler to come out with a fix that actually works.

WSJ says the Iphone WOW effect is going away because 77% of people already have Iphones of some type and Sammy is down 17% and Iphone more. If it aint broke, don't fix it. Roll back off beta and see if that solves your problem and let some one else be the pig
The only reason I am on W8 is because my cat distroyed W7

Not concerned about it as I think it is all related to the wireless card, but I may call and complain so that I can get an extension on the free trial, even at free not worth the cost right now...

My solution to "vehicle phone needs service" message is un-register uconnect. Don't need 911 button, don't use assist button, apps (Pandora, Iheartradio, slacker) don't work, the ios/android app usability in my opinion is in question as I cannot remote start my car when I'm on a train (vehicle in motion message ), even when walking fast you get the message. Remote AC maybe it works but every time I get in the cabin is not as cold as I think it should be and fan is on low, will not go back to Auto.

This is not worth it to me even for free right now. Not entirely sure how are they planning to make a business out of that and charge $19.99 per month. I don't see anybody paying that unless you enjoy "vehicle phone requires service message". I think they should extend the free trial (1 year) by another year or at least 1/2 year. Whatever they have right now is barely usable.

... but ... as strange as it seems given the above ... I love the UConnect, my wife loves it too and can navigate between menus with easy although she is not a tech person. Except for the issues above everything is working fine.

A bunch of the wireless cards need to be firmware updated or radio replaced.

Otherwise I am with you. I am connected enough at the moment without.

If you have an iphone you can disable the "cant do it while in motion" feature. Just go into privacy and turn off the location service for the uconnect app. Done. Now it works anywhere - even while moving

Any idea when that firmware for Sierra card going to be available? Are we saying that new radios have the same hardware (air card) but different firmware? Just wondering if that is the matter of them figuring out a way to to do the firmware update on existing radios w/o returning them back to manufacturer.

... or is this the case that new radios have new hardware and new firmware.

Just to clarify 13.19.0 is NOT a Beta. This is a full release version pushed out to all dealer channels.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

Upgraded from 13.15.4 to 13.19.0 and so far so good. Only had a few minutes with it. A couple of cool new features.

I have memory seats linked to key fob for wife and me. Screen now says "restoring settings for memory 1" when I use my fob and 2 for hers. Nice touch so you know it works.

Also radio presets are now separate per memory setting. I have my presets, she has hers.

No luck getting text from iPhone 5.

That is all I have had time for.
