Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

That's the SiriusXM ID number. The radio label serial is more than likely physically on the radio itself.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

An update on my experience with the lights and wipers after installing 13.19.0. It's been several days since I've driven the Jeep. Went to the garage and entered the vehicle. Pushed the garage door button and started the engine. Usually, I wait until the radio activates before pulling out, but today I didn't. Backed out about halfway down the driveway when the wipers started the three pass routine with about two seconds between each set of three. I turned the wiper control to Lo, then back to automatic and they stopped. While driving down the road, I noticed that my headlights were on. Pulled over to the side of the road and checked to see if the tail lights were also on - they were. Shut down the engine, opened and closed the door and waited for the system to power down. Started the vehicle again, waited for the radio to fully activate, then pulled out. Everything seemed to be working then.

It will be interesting to see tomorrow if the Nav and other things work on my trip to Fort Wayne.

I saw your post so i went out and tried my assist button. I got the same message you did. So I called Uconnect people and they walked me through getting it working. Works now. Basically you need to re install the advantage app. Here's what they had me do.

Step1. Turn the car to ACC or turn it on and wait for 3g signal
Step2. Touch the Apps Button
Step3. Go to Uconnect store
Step4. Go to My Apps
Step5. Go to Settings
Step6. Go to re install Apps
Step7. Hit Okay let the radio do it's thing for a say 5 to 10 mins if nothing happens turn the car to off but don't open door you should start seeing some warning message and the process happening let it do it's thing. When it's done the radio should reboot or screen will just go black.
Step8. Go ahead and start the car up or Acc I decided to start her because the sun was beaming me. let the radio do it's thing then go to Apps and all should be working if i remember all the steps correctly.
Do not register Unconnect let it do its thing the Assist button should work now.

ps. I had to go through these steps twice to get the radio to do its thing didn't work the first time for whatever reason

Willx - is there a way to get the manufactured date on the radio - so that i can confirm its new enough?
Cell problems are related and not, they are trying to fix something. likely most will come back online, but if you have received the service phone message in the past, you will likely need a replacement at some point regardless of software revision.

No, it is on the back of the head, see answer below.

I confirmed they are using the Sirius XM ID numbers in identifying the radio build dates from a database they have. It is the user friendly, "don't pull your radio out of the dash" method.

So if they ask for the Radio ID, that is exactly what they are doing. It apparently won't give them an exact date but close enough to know what the next diagnositic step should be.

I believe adthebadstud is also now on the right track.

Wills, are you saying if we have ever received the phone needs service message ( I have received it twice since doing a factory reset ) we are eventually going to need a radio replacement ? Everything seems to be working fine for me other than receiving that message.

Exactly.

I got that message, got a blacked out screen, loss of gps/clock.. etc all fine after restart. But, a new radio is on order. The new ones have updated hardware and firmware to fix all that.

update to 13.19.0 then call you dealer - ask if they know about it. If not, you might need to educate them good luck!

PS. Welcome to the VIP club!

That is exactly what he is saying. I am in the same boat and said the same thing to the UConnect rep today when on the phone. Mine has been fine lately other than the Phone Service the 3x's it has come up, never before with the other software updates.

It means that the card that does the WiFi and 911 services is not operating properly. It is likely working OK but not the way it is supposed to. Under regulation the system must notify the user of the problem and yes the most likely solution is replacement. It should not cause you any grief in the mean time. StaticFX and adthebadstud had more serious issues as well.
