I'm rooted as well, on slimbean 4.2.2, what commands are you saying to create or reply to the text messages over voice recognition?

I only had the phone message one time, and that was right after the last update. A while after that I tried to use the assist button and got the not registered message. One call to the number that came up on the screen solved that.

I don't know if the two are related, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Yeah I never got the phone needs service message until 13.19 also. Really think it has something to do with the update process not necessarily the update itself. I did a radio reset and all has been working great since. If anyone reading this decides to do the radio reset you will lose your settings. You will also see the phone service message again until the system gets that info installed. you will have to setup your uconnect registration again. You won't have to go through inputting your account info but you will have to tap the registration button. When you do the reset just leave the jeep running for a while so it can get all the info it needs. Also some of the phone needs service messages are from the aircard module not getting a connection to sprint's shitty network so just ignore it when you see the 3g signal come up just tap the 911 button on the mirror the light will go out and cancel the call.

Just so everyone is aware neither the update or the update process is causing any problems. This is simply a sign of defective wireless cards. The cards had a problem from the beginning, this is just flushing out the issue.

Yeah I'll be getting a new radio at the same time I want my msl number so I can put it on Verizon I wonder how Chrysler and sprint are going to handle that will be interesting.
How can you say the update process is not causing problems not referring to the aircard but other glitches are you sure of that? Do you deal with the developers from a development standpoint? Just curious.

This issue coupled with the other random issues seems to result in replacement radios for many builds prior to mid June. I just need to find the time to deal with Uconnect customer service and the dealer. Updates have not helped any of my issues to date.

So if I have an early build Jeep (mid march) is there a good chance I will have the wireless card fail and need the radio replaced here at some point? or are these failures few and far between?

Early April build, and no problems except "not registered" and a phone call took care of that.

That would be great. The s3 worked great on both 13.10 and 13.15.4. However it seems after updating to 13.19.0, the feature was totally taken away. Like it doesn't exist. Also, blue tooth disconnects frequently now.

It is a little more complicated, I don't think messaging is working "as intended" on any phone but I have the full report, I just need to look it up, but I won't have that access until a few days from now.

Mine was working for a day or so and now back to the not registered. They closed the ticket yesterday but I will call again to have it reopened...
