How can you say the update process is not causing problems not referring to the aircard but other glitches are you sure of that? Do you deal with the developers from a development standpoint? Just curious.

We will just say that I have some very good info from key players in the original hardware design. The Sierra wireless card was not supposed to be Sprint at all and the original builds were supposed to be something different then anything anyone has seen in cellular coverage.... It would have been amazing but the deal fell apart and Sprint was chosen to fill the gap.

From this original change over there was a known risk that there would be some problems as the cards may not take future updates properly. The advantage each of you got was that you will get 1 less service visit and skip to the front of the line for radio replacements that you would have needed to do anyway (trust me on this, later down the road the wireless cards not taking the dates will fall on their faces)

Just imagine how many radios out there will need replacing once they release the software public or all of these people get their service visit and have their radio checked out... I am going to take a stab that 1 out of every 4 original radios in the US will need to be replaced. Right now, as I explained to another member, those replacements are brand new radios, so the next few months is a good time vs waiting until the remanufactured units start making the rounds IMHO.

Awesome info thanks a bunch. Makes sense now. So what should I do just contact my dealer and let them know I get the service phone message from time to time? Or am I going to have to walk them through it. Like show them the service phone message. Is there some bulletin or case number for this? Going to make an appointment tomorrow will see how they handle it.

Mine failed the next day. Maybe yours won't. Uconnect told me the update they pushed might not work the first time, and it didn't, but they pushed one again the next day and it's been fine since. Maybe Will knows more about this, but it does seem a little like a crap shoot to me, but eventually it works.

If you tell them you are getting the message it should be pretty straight forward. If not PM me.

You would have to unlock it from sprint I'm assuming. That's why I would want the Msl number to unlock it in the future. I'm curious if Chrysler and sprint thought of this? Not like I have a contract with sprint? and I own my jeep and everything in it I assume. So i would think they would have no choice but to give me the Msl number?

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

another .19 with multiple 'phone needs service messages' fine before that, but it was only a few days old, and uconnect advised the upgrade for other issues.
dealer cant reproduce it, and now uconnect seems to think it is because I live in a marginal service area for sprint.

Oh brother, call you dealer back and say Chrysler specifically told you there is a Star Case that says to replace your radio if you are running 13.19.0 and getting that "service phone" error.

I am away from my office, can someone else please post the star case number I am referring too.... Sno?

Thx

One reason to move the update to the premium member section is to get more premium members...

Just for the record I don't benefit one cent for more members here. Fact is it got shut down by non premium members complaining about the post so we moved it.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

I am picking up my new GC tomorrow and I wanted to display the model number and serial number of my radio. I ordered the 8.4AN radio and wanted to verify that I have the correct radio. Can any one give me instructions on how to verify this information?
