Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

Willx:

Here is precisely what happens. When I first start the JC and head on out, the blind spot is working properly. I will get illumination in the mirror when a car enters my blind spot. At some point early on in my drive, the truck throws the error message. At that point, I get nothing in the way of illumination in the mirror. It doesn't light when a car enters my blind spot, nor does it illuminate (perpetually) to indicate there is a malfunction. The mirror simply stops illuminating when a car enters my blind spot. I also don't get the chime that occurs when I put on my turn signal with a car in my blind spot. It is very weird. My car is spotless, there is nothing that would affect or block the sensors, in fact my JC hasn't even been in the rain yet and I got it in March (I have two vehicles).

Sounds like a faulty sensor and or it may be related to the reported issues with sensor mounting but really a dealer will need to look at it. It is not exactly what the reported problem has been but your service department has access to a Star Case that is somewhat related.

Compared to the junction view that came up in the cluster in a 300 I rented last year, the in cluster graphics in these new systems are a bit cheesy IMHO. It will be nice to have it stick, but after having used it a couple of times I think they went backwards with this feature.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

That's what I was afraid of. But I hate the thought of the dealership poking and prodding my GC. When it's an extensive problem that they are attempting to resolve, they typically mess up something else while trying to resolve the initial issue. I had a new 2006 SRT8 that early on presented with steering wheel vibration and transmission issues and the dealership absolutely demolished that car to the point where I threatened to sue them. It was just a horrible situation. At some point, they relented and took my SRT8 back and gave me a sweet deal on a Rubicon.

This "should" be much more straight forward.

I can't guarantee it but point out that there is a current Star case on "blind spot" that they can look at... They should check for codes first in case it is not that.

Question Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

Since the software has been moved to Premium Members section, does that mean it is no longer avaliable to download and we need to see our dealer for the update. My 2014 Summit has been great but today at 4,500 mi. All presets have disappeared.

Nope, just pay to be a premium member and download it from that section. Cheap and worth it.
