Re: UConnect 13.38.52

My newer computers (Win 7 and Win ) did not like the uConnect website, but had no trouble with downloading from Jeep Garage.

My Win 8 computer will not download TSBs from WK2Jeeps.com, no matter what browser I use. My other computers and tablets have no problem.

The internet / computer industry has way more gremlins than Jeep.

Re: UConnect 13.38.52

I recently purchased a 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland and quickly discovered that the UConnect system was missing many functions according to the Users Manual for this vehicle/radio. The dealer replaced the radio with a newer version that would accept the latest software updates. They loaded 13.38.52 and UConnect was still was missing several functions. A couple examples are "Auto Entry/Exit Suspension" (pg. 339) and "Paddle Shifting" (pg. 327). In the case of not having "Auto Entry/Exit Suspension" one must manually lower the suspension (at center console) before parking if wanting to reduce the height of the vehicle for easier entry and exit. In the case of not being able to disable "Paddle Shifting", if you accidentally hit a paddle you are stuck in manual mode and have to shift through to get back into auto. Not what I would expect on a $53K vehicle. Anyone experiencing the same frustrations or know what the company's plan is to go UConnect fully functional? The dealer is clueless.

I am new to this forum and if this topic has already been addressed in another thread please redirect. Much appreciated. JC

Can you let us know what your build date is (drivers door jam sticker) for the auto lower suspension feature. If your build month is Earlier than July you may actually not have that option since a few posts say it was a hardware change that was added sometime in late July or Early August and can't be retrofitted.

As for the paddle shifters I will let someone else take that one.

Auto entry/exit may not be available depending on the build date. There is a disclaimer in the manual that not all features mentioned will be available, or something to that effect.

As for the paddle shifters, I'm not sure about disabling them, but;

"To disengage Paddle Shift mode, press and hold the (+) shift paddle until D or S is once again displayed in the instrument cluster. You can shift in or out of Paddle Shift mode at any time without taking your foot off theaccelerator pedal."

What version of the owner's manual do you have. The pages you mentioned don't seem to be the same as what I have.

The newest version is #5. All the owner/user guides can be downloaded free.

Jeep Owners | Download an Owners Manual 2004 - 2011 | Jeep

In spite of what the link says, it has the 2014 manuals.

if one uses the Uconnect site it downloads a exe file that contains an installer. The installer is the correct way to convert to the iso file that the Uconnect radio will recognize (provided one downloads the correct iso for the unit). Scott is right. Break down and become a premium member which is a benefit of superior perks.

With Win 8 a ton of apps are kept open for quick reference but clogs up the system. I put both a control panel and task manager app on the desktop so I can close all the junk before downloading anything. Win 8.1 has also played hell with security software and a lot of companies are scrambling for fixes and updates.

With paddle shifting, pull the right paddle toward the driver for 2 seconds to disconnect until the next time one by accident engages it by tapping the paddle toward the EVIC

Re: UConnect 13.38.52

When I first upgraded to 13.38.52, like others reported, I got the pop up voice prompts when pressing the voice activation button on the steering wheel. After a couple of days, those prompts disappeared for me. I can't figure out how to get them back. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know how to get them back? They are kind of handy!

I will, as soon as my lifetime membership expires.

One of the settings options is detailed responses. Make sure that is checked. I'm not at the vehicle at the moment, so I can't tell you exactly where it is, but look for it and see if that does it for you.

Ahhh - thank you. I now remember turning that option off because I didn't want voice responses too verbose, but that makes total sense!

Thank you!!!!
