Re: UConnect 13.38.52

Upgraded last night to 13.38.52 and have a couple questions.

1) After upgrading, is anyone still seeing settings reset them self? IE My Auto-On comfort setting will uncheck itself a few seconds after being turned on OR after checking it then going back into the setting. My brother in law and others I've seen on the forum who have the same 8.4AN head unit are not experiencing this. My bro-in-law didn't have the issue and is on an early firmware. Wondering if I just need to bite the bullet and go in and request a replacement head unit.

2) Anyone else with a galaxy S3 running AOKP 8/20 release 4.2 (the latest) ROM and able to at have texts read over the head unit? After 13.38 I am still not having texts read. Wondering if this is due to the bluetooth MAP on AOKP. Anyone running the latest 4.3 Cyanogenmod and it works on the S3? If that's the case, I'll just switch over to Cyanogen.

Re: UConnect 13.38.52

The only thing that had been unchecking itself every few days was the nav in cluster, every few day. I went into settings to check it today and it was not checked. But, before my finger could reach the screen the check mark appeared.

There is something new that I don't like. Somebody complained about this months ago by mine just started after the update.

With auto wipers active in the evic, the owner's manual or user's guide says to turn them off on the stalk when not needed. Now, whenever I turn them on, even when still dry and in the garage, the wipers take one swipe across the dry windshield. It never did that before.

Re: UConnect 13.38.52

FYI guys,

I JUST picked up a 2014 limited on 10-9-13. During delivery, we noticed that the reverse camera was showing a blue screen. I was pissed but it was 9:30PM and I took the car. I took it back yesterday and they messed with some fuses (I am guessing that rebooted the radio) and the camera worked, until I turned the car off and was home.

Anyways, I found out that the update was available and there was an item in the changelog that mentioned a blank screen reverse camera fix. After the update, so far so good.

I love the truck, but I hate Jeep dealers. they ALL suck.

Might be a reference check for clarity?

I hate it when they change things that were working the way they should. I doesn't take much to scratch a dry windshield.

If I leave it in the on position it doesn't happen when I start the car.

I worked with a guy back in the 60's with a Stuedabaker (sp?) Lark. The wipers came on any time we got a steady rain, even if the car wasn't running? It wasn't supposed to, the water was shorting some relay. He had to disconnect the battery whenever it was supposed to rain.

Just make sure that when they send a crew from Detroit that they call first. I might be on the beach.

Me too, but a lot of stuff was broke. If you are happy though, I agree as my grandfather would say "dunna touch"

My Galaxy S3 (Sprint) not rooted at all and reads text over the radio It didn't prior to the 13.38.52 update. I unpaired on both phone and radio then re-paired. Might try that first if you haven't already.

Yep.. And people like you with a lack of innovation and/or drive is why you will find yourself asking why you got laid off in coming years. I suppose you think cloud computing is a joke as well.

Vendors don't just invest time and money into development for no reason.

Be a good steward and upgrade your software.

Hell, if he has already been in the business for that many years he shouldn't have to
worry about being laid off. He should be planning his retirement.

Updating just because the update is there is like picking options just because they are there.
I'd rather see a little less innovation and a little more getting it right before it hits the market.
