[QUOTE=Willx;1055886]Internet Explorer 11 doesn't work at all with much of anything and I consider it to be a virus that needs to be removed. /QUOTE]
IE 11 works just fine if you FIRST add chrysler.com to your Compatibility View (not your safe sites). Add chrysler.com to your Compatibility View...close IE 11....restart IE 11, make sure chrysler.com is in your Compatibility View Settings, and go to the update site and enter the last eight digits of the VIN. Go through the tutorial, at the end tell it to RUN the install program, the window will pop up with the download going. Getting the message about "invalid VIN" has NOTHING to do with the browser. That message means that your VIN is does not have an upgrade yet and if that is the case you will get that message no matter what browser you are using.
Just my opinion, but I blame the "compatibility" list problem more on the Akamai download manager being old and out of date than I do IE 11. Akamai has not updated that thing in 5 years or more. Chrysler should not be using their service. Akamai's download manager has always been a cluster f......err....goat rope.
