Btw, powernet BCM is updated with ignition off.
There's a new TSB out that claims to more precisely regulate system voltage.
Not sure why it was tossed in with a hard cold/start, other than maybe it just happened to be there..

That should have been on RUN (2 button pushes) not ACC (1 button push) with my Battery Tender hooked up. I read there was a concern about battery voltage when doing the updates, which is why I mentioned the BT hook-up. Yes, it still did it flawlessly with no voltage dropping !

And, FYI, I always RTFM......!!
Admittedly I do them with the engine running...
Allows using the A/C in summer and heater in winter.

Too bad it doesn't allow using the entertainment system as well... soft updates.

I did mine on Run and I thought everything went well. However, while it was updating, my plumber came by and I had to exit the vehicle while the update was going on (I've never gotten out of the vehicle during an update before). When I got back to it, everything said it updated successfully and I followed the closeout procedure with the ignition button and doors. Later that day, the apps came back and all seemed copacetic.

Now, a week later, today I've had a couple of quirks. The BRAKE! warning light came on twice when there was nothing around me (except the overpass I was going under) and, then later, I got the message under the speedometer (in digital mode) to push OK to change to kilometers. I had pushed nothing before that came up.

Think I will reinstall again tonight and see what happens. If I wait until late, my plumber won't show up.

The radio cannot create that kind of false alarm.

Check that the windshield is clean at the camera sensor behind the review mirror and that there is no debris in the sensor in the lower bumper fascia. Something metalic in the lower sensor can cause it not to know it is dirty and ask to be cleaned but may create fause positives.

The BRAKE! issue happened once before on a trip. The dealer checked it and it went away (I had one overpass near home that would trigger it every time I went to the gym). I clean the sensors every night when I put it back in the garage. It does seem to happen at overpasses though. There is no braking, just the beep and the warning. It only happened once today even though I drove it downtown and back twice on the expressway. Minor quirk, irritating, but nothing major as long as it doesn't activate the braking system.

Now hopefully when they add Android Auto to uconnect it won't break everything else.

Re: Uconnect 14.25.05 is Available Online

Just for the record, I did the update the other day. I did it with the engine running to be safe. It took 11 minutes on my Limited. No problems.... but I just realized that I haven't driven it since I did the update.

Re: Uconnect 14.25.05 is Available Online

Wasn't aware of the problems updating in ACC mode. I did this update in ACC, but fortunately everything stayed on and the updated completed without any problems. Like all updates in the past, my radio has resumed normal operation with the SD card being read again and the bluetooth connection detecting my phone. We'll see how long it takes this time to stop working so I can again raise hell to the dealer. The backup camera is smooth now and no more jittering which was very annoying to deal with, but I haven't driven the car since Saturday to notice any other changes.
