Re: uconnect 430 n

Does anyone know what version of AVRCP the 430n supports, 1.2 or 1.4? I cant find it anywhere.

Re: uconnect 430 n

Last night I formatted a 500GB hard drive as Fat 32. I loaded up about 30 GBS of music, plugged it into the main port this morning and it worked great. The sound quality is way better then when I play my iPhone 4 over bluetooth or plugged in

Hey Bozer,

Does that HD work if you plug it into the USB port in the upper part of the arm rest?

bozer, did you load the music from that hard drive into the HDD, or just use the faceplate USB port for playback from the portable drive?

Re: uconnect 430 n

A little off topic but it concerns the 430N...when are we going to get an update for Travel Link to become active? It is on the build sheet...one year free service.

Glad it's working for you and others. It is a pretty slick trick.

However, in all fairness, I have to give credit to the guy who showed it to me. He is a sales guy at one of my local dealers. For all the (well-deserved) grief we heap on these guys, it's only right to recognize the few who have spent some time learning the product. This guy was really good. He had a lot of great stories from the driving event held at FedEx Field for the DC-area dealers. He used the stringing technique when pairing my phone.

I plugged the drive into the front faceplate where the USB port is. You could use it to play from the USB in armrest as well if you wanted but I wanted to just rip it.

Takes forever to transfer though and Im not sure how without leaving the jeep on and running. I killed the main power but eventually it powered off on its own i guess as to not drain the battery.

I'm really hoping the audio quality improves for blue tooth iphone. It sounds like ass but its so cool how it links up while in your pocket.
