Re: UConnect 8.4 International / Export

I just installed the 13.43.7 update.
When through without a hitch.

All up it took 16 minutes

Points of note.
Horn on Lock still does not work, I cycled it off and on, with cycling the car on and off too. I don't want this feature, but it should work.

I didn't have Hill Start Assist option showing, it is there now as it should be for my car.

There is an update to the NaviServer and Map Database, not sure of the effect if any.

One very odd one.
I was having trouble programming one key fob to seating position 1. My other key programmed successfully to position 2, but this fob would never programme no matter what I did.
I decided to give it another go after the update, and as soon as I grabbed the door handle it moved to position 1 from my position 2. I don't how or why it now worked, but the update fixed this problem that even an engineering system reset could not achieve.

In regards to this part of the update:
Blue tooth, phone, iPod, auto streaming, connecting/disconnecting enhancements.

I still had issues with Bluetooth straming via the iOS Podcast app. It will not pause the playback when using the Uconnect screen, I have to use the phone. Music playback via BT will pause.

Re: UConnect 8.4 International / Export

Silverhammer I believe its always been designated RJ3 for us Aussie Laredo owners.

Interesting to see that the same Aussie Laredo model RJ3 radio is used in the middle east except the middle east get the NAV option....are we really the only country not to get the option with the same radio? Sorry but its a bug bear..for that I put the missing Nav option in the same category as the now infamous Laredo Reversing Camera.

The difference is, the camera is an official listed spec. The Nav is something you want that has never been listed as an option for the Laredo.

Except if you buy a Laredo with the same RJ3 Radio as ours in the middle east...I guess that's my point.

Is it something we can ask for ? Given the middle east have it? with the same Radio.

Why do so many people want the 'horn on lock' setting?
Ah for the visually impaired.

Snuke, did you work out how to get around this error? I'm getting this on the download site as well.
Thanks

Re: UConnect 8.4 International / Export

I had the issue on Chrome at work (Windows 7) & Firefox at home (OS X Mavericks).
Site worked with Chrome on OS X, but would not download, same with Opera. Finally worked with Safari. Many others say the same thing, it is working fine with Safari (both Windows and OS X)
Try that.

I donít think many of us want it, just noting that it doesn't work.
Personally I lock the car with the handle, but there are many times you may be away from the car and wanting to lock it without a line of site.
With my Falcon, I lock it as I walk away, and many times I donít here the cylinders lock, so I press the lock button a second time as I continue to walk and the horn beeps.
Or I just keep doing it to make it beep constantly to drive the misses nuts, because Iím nice like that.
