The guy in this thread had the dealer replace one of the temp sensors for the erratic HVAC. Take a look

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

Well after using radio number 5 was put my truck last Saturday now the radio will go from Sirius to Media (iPod) whenever for no reason. Just off the phone with the dealer, they are aware of the problem but have no fix for it at this moment I should try calling back again next week. Very friggin nice!! This truck is just one black eye after the other.

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

This truck just keeps amazing me and not in a good way!! After the last radio change now the radio randomly changes from Sirius or iPod at will. Also now since last week the headlights now go on for like 10 seconds randomly when the truck is off!! I'm so at the end of my rope!! Called Chrysler they said leave it with dealer for as long as they need it. 2400 miles just friggin amazing? Anyone have the same issues??

Mine has been problem free for almost 3000 miles. My only issue is that according to the oil life remaining, I'm going to have to change oil at around 4,000 miles. Not anywhere close to the 10,000 advertised. Not a huge deal like you are having, just a minor annoyance.

Do you know what version of the software are running on the new radio? Maybe try updating it to see if that helps any

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

This is where Jeep falls short in too many cases. The odds of one person getting 2 bad radios might be acceptable. Three bad radios to the same person, not likely. Four bad radios is against all odds. Whoever approved a fifth radio should be fired. By now they should have taken it out of the hands of the local service tech and had somebody with the ability to diagnose what is causing the problem take a look at it.

It really is a shame

I just remembered something ... hopefully correctly. Doesn't the radio switch to media if it looses Sirius XM signal? Maybe the antenna or the cable from the antenna is causing the problem.

Does anyone know of a way to display your entire route on the Nav feature after you've got a route put in and are following it? On most Nav systems I've used there is a function to zoom way out and have it show the entire route, then go back to navigating. I don't see any easy way to do that on Uconnect. Went thru the manual and didn't see anything there.

There are plus and minus buttons, but I'm not sure how far out they take you.

Yeah, that doesn't really do it very well, and wouldn't go out far enough to show the entire route. Oh well...

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

that must be a long trip!

on long trips, I use google maps and plan out the best route. Then with the nav I put in parts of the trip or I add the destinations along the way.. That way I make sure the car is taking the route I want

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

I have a 2014 Durango and I am on the most updated version. One thing I do notice (I have surround sound turned on) is when I just get in to start listening to music, if I go into the audio settings and touch as example turning the base down 1 notch. The sound becomes richer .. has anyone else noticed this? I spoke to unconnect support (no help) they told me reinstall the software update again and I have done so.
