Just an FYI for everyone getting the invalid VIN error message. I opened a ticket with Chrysler/Uconnect. They responded with the following:

"At this time, the only VIN numbers that will be displayed on the
uConnect website are the ones affected by the update. If you do not not
see your VIN number listed with any recalls, your VIN number is not
included at this time."

You would think they would update the error message to not indicate an invalid VIN has been entered, but I guess they don't mind all the support requests.

Hey Guys....just picked up a 14 3.6L 4X4 Overland with Adv and Rear ENT special ordered. It was built 6/5/14 and took 6 weeks to arrive. Before I signed my life away I drove it for about 30 minutes to do some checks. About 10 minutes in the head unit began rolling through the inputs (fm,am,cd,aux,etc) without the screen being touched and no sound from unit. It has the latest flash update. Dealer is looking to replace entire unit to solve issue. Thoughts? Common?

I hoped by getting a later build date I could avoid a lot of these teething issues. Not to happy and haven't signed my forms for delivery until it is 100% perfect.

Oh yeah that's not good. I would have hoped the late build and latest firmware would have all but eliminated reports like this. But in manufacturing/production, there are always are certain small percentage of defective units.

Just out of curiosity, if you get a chance, write down the firmware version and report back. Hope they fix it for you.

Does anyone have the direct link to 14.5.03 software? I just updated from RA3 to RA4 Nav unit and would like to update the unit. This was pulled from another Jeep that does not have my vin. Any help would be fantastic.

Sure, I know this VIN will "qualify" you for it on the Uconnect website...EC237239.

My 2014 limited diesel with the RA4 radio and the latest software has an issue where, if I open the audio equalizer and adjust any eq band even a single step up or down, the radio applies a different eq profile that brings up the low and hi midrange that makes bass sound more punchy and makes vocals more intelligible.

When I shut the vehicle down this profile does not stick.

I can duplicate this by powering the vehicle all the way down and restarting it. I have the pushbutton start and the electronics don't completely shut down until I turn off the engine then open and close a door and wait a while for the start button light to go out.

Try saving the seat setting after you make your equalizer settings.

I thought you might be onto something there... but I tried it twice and it still acted the same way.

I should add that the band settings stick... i.e. I have bass set to -5, eq at +3 and High at -2... these settings save and restore as expected.

But the act of opening the equalizer and making one small adjustment (say dropping the midgrange by a notch) and the radio seems to apply a different eq profile.
