Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

Your security settings need to be changed. I'd start with turning off the pop-up blocker in ie.

Easy way in IE is to go to Internet Options and while on the Uconnect Site add it is a "trusted site" under "security". Once you have done this and as I am assuming you have installed the Akamai installer, you should be able to go back to the page and the download will start in that window.

Should you still have grief we provide a Mirror with a single file (simplified) download in the VIP section of the site. ALL supporting members (level 1 and up) have access to this section. You can see your Premium Member options by clicking the banner bar at the bottom of my post.

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

Does anyone else have the issue of the radio always turning on when you start the GC? Even if I have the radio off when I turn the car off, it is always on when I start it the next day.

I have updated to 13.38.52 and there has been no change. I've also sent a support email to uConnect and got a "you should take it to the dealer" response.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kai

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

The "radio" never turns off. It mutes when you depress the volume knob, but is not muted when you start the vehicle. The unit is much more than a radio, it is the center of a lot of the vehicle's communication between you and it's features. This question has been asked here before, and there are several discussions of all of this if you do a little searching. By the way, welcome to the forum.

Re: UConnect 8.4 - North America

Couple of questions - admittedly I did a quick search, but didn't find anything...

This is in a '14 WD, but I figure it should work the same as WK2.

My wife has noted that her iPhone 5s doesn't alert for text messages when linked to UConnect (we have 8.4AN/RA4). Is there a trick to this?

I also haven't figured out how to get the vehicle to read text messages partly because the alerts don't appear to be working.

I know we can't use the text response features with the iPhone.
