UConnect Bluetooth Phone Issue
I had a new UConnect issue come up this past week. Dealer performed the latest recall and UConnect update in late July. Everything was fine for 3+ weeks when suddenly my UConnect started to malfunction with my iPhone6 (ios8.3).
If I tried to place a call, or if someone called me, I would not get any audio through the speaker system. Also, UConnect would try to transfer the call to my iPhone. But while UConnect said it transferred the call, the call actually would be stuck in limbo for about 20 seconds. If the person on the other line waited, I could eventually host the call on my phone, but not via UConnect. Once it happened, UConnect would not let me transfer a call back from the phone.
I also discovered that whenever I would experience this issue with the UConnect and my phone, it also would freeze the Bluetooth audio streaming. My Spotify would continue to play on my phone, but it would not play through the speakers via UConnect. The only way I could fix it was to disconnect my phone from UConnect and reconnect it. Once I did that, it would stream via Bluetooth and play over the speakers just fine.
However, if I need to place a call, or if someone calls me, I have to go through it all over again.
My JGC has been at the dealer since last Thursday morning, and they've been in contact with Chrysler techs. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to tell me anything about what's going on and if they have a solution.
Has anyone here run into anything similar?
