Unhappy Uconnect brightness

Why does the Uconnect system increase in brightness when you shut off the engine? Most annoying when it's dark out and the thing blinds you.

Re: Uconnect brightness

When you shut down the engine the sensor on the dash that determines ambient light for the system shuts down. Hence, it doesn't know it's dark out anymore.

Re: Uconnect brightness

Now that you know, make it a habit to shut your eyes as you hit the stop buttoned. You may also want to see an Ophthalmologist if that screen is bright enough to blind you.
