UConnect Module in WK2 Jeeps

Hi all, I am new here but after a lot of searching here and other places I was unable to find the factory location of the UConnect module. Even chrysler listed it as being in the passengers kick panel, where it was not. So after some searching and a little help I found it on the drivers side, under the knee blocker, towards the drivers door, I am attaching a couple photos. If you are curious why I was able to get a new module, and good news it works with my apple Iphone 4, it makes and receives calls, downloads the phonebook, streams audio over bluetooth, and the UCI usb plug in the center console works as well, so I am extremely happy now. Also although im not an expert I am good with most of the MyGig/UConnect systems, I am a former Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram dealer, and just left for another job so any way I can help let me know.

Re: UConnect Module in WK2 Jeeps

Are you saying you got a replacement for a defective module or is it a " new " release of the module ? I have similar issues with Uconnect and a Galaxy S phone. If there is a fix for these problems I would like to know so I can get it.

Re: UConnect Module in WK2 Jeeps

There is newer software that is currently in chryslers pipeline so they have to finish testing and then it will be released.

Re: UConnect Module in WK2 Jeeps

So, If I understand this correctly there is new software coming soon that will be installed in the existing uconnect box. This should improve the function for newer phones. I have the 430N. OLD BOX - NEW SOFTWARE ???? Thanks for your help.

Dang it! Photos are no longer available.

Is this the same box I am looking for? I will check again if so.
