uConnect perplexities

Apparently my new uConnect system is enjoying my music library on my iPhone sooooo much...that it just wants to keep listening.

Seems like once you are streaming tunes via Bluetooth...you are destined to do so...forever.
Whenever I get out and come back...it resumes. Ahh thats nice.
Mute it...shut down the engine...come back the next day...it resumes. Hmm..
Stop the play on the tunes section of the iphone. Get out..come back...it resumes...WTF!?!?
Ohhh well....no biggie. Its easy enough to mute.

But then...

seems like uConnect like my phone so much that everytime I start up the engine, it automatically starts the uConnect Access app for me. Another no biggie other than having to log in or close down the app and, of course, its useless in motion. So.....whats the point? I dot need an app to remote start the vehicle that I am sitting in AND HAVE JUST STARTED. lol

And then....

uConnect like my music so much that it ruminates on my titles. I can tell it to skip to the next song on my iPhone and the music will change, but the display on the screen remains unchanged. I can go from song 'A" to song be, but the info from song "A" remains on the screen (and in the "info" pull-down) until song "C" starts. THis isnt always the case...but it happens about a quarter of the time. I guess it really likes those songs.

LOL

NO,,,,the uconnect it fully up to date. I have run the vin. No updates available.

THese certainly arent "problems" as much as they are....perplexities.

V.

Re: uConnect perplexities

When you turned the vehicle off was Media still selected?
If it was the behavior is normal.

I have experienced having bluetooth automatically selected when starting the vehicle and at other times when not requested, but I deleted my phone and paired it again. That eliminated the behavior. I think that is one of the steps when upgrading the software or it
may have just been documented in the earlier releases. I'm running 15.17.

Re: uConnect perplexities

If you are running iOS 9.2 on your iPhone uConnect is having a few problems with it. One thing that seems to help is doing a soft uConnect reset by pressing and holding the phone and VR buttons on your steering wheel and then opening the driver's door. You will not lose any of your setting doing this.
