Re: Uconnect update question

Roadkill posted this morning that after the "update", his 2014 JGC UConnect has problems. This possibility concerned me when I first read that FCA had a quick fix "patch" to the software.

uConnect 15.26.1 is buggy; I want to downgrade.

In order to do this, they would have to put extra files on the stick besides the ordinary ISO image. And spend the money to develop something that would be unique to a given VIN.

For what purpose? [I am not saying they would not be that stupid, but just questioning the wisdom of doing so]

Never needed to delete the log file when re-installing an upgrade.
Current Microsoft will also put a system information file on the usb, it also doesn't seem to care about that.

And in that thread, appears to be the only one reporting issues.
Haven't seen if has simply redone the update yet--or reset the system.

FCA's quick fix for the exploit had almost a year warning from the folks who did the publicized hack which most news stories leave off a bit of information to make it more alarming than it really was.
