Yup - I work for said OEM...........know all the issues with the 13 and 14 radios............just a pain it happened to me - still i would have had and engineer look at it on Monday.........99% of others dont have that chance tho...

It's nice to hear you had a good customer service experience.

But had you waited, it would most likely have corrected itself by the next morning.

I think with all that's going on, a little patience is the best policy.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

I did the update early last week and have had my system reset a half dozen times. Shoukd I even Take to the dealer or just wait for the next update. The system seems to reset each time it happens twice. It has always come back on, but one time I lost all control of volume. Knob or steering wheel control wouldn't work. Only fixed itself after turning the car off for 30 min.

Finally read through all the posts... Thanks for all the great advice as I just updated.

I am also verifying if anyone has had this issue I am having.... We have the collision warning system on our Overland. The hard button shows it is on and when in U connect it is set to On and Far. Then sometimes I check Uconnect again and magically it is unchecked which would indicate the system is deactivated however the hard key is not lit ... Which would indicate it is active. Then I shut the vehicle off and when restarted, I go into Uconnect and it is now checked it is activated but is now selected Near. Is anyone else seeing a Uconnect ghost that is changing feature selections? The dealer has a new Uconnect radio they want to install but I am nervous as I believe it is a software issue and not hardware. I am afraid to have them change it out for for of all the BS I will probably need to go through with subscriptions, etc. any thoughts.

Secondly, any updates you are receiving regarding the setting to automatically lower the suspension when in park through Uconnect....as stated several places in the manual. This new update did not add this feature either. Dealer and jeep have no answers and don't know what I am talking about even when I show them in the manuals. Heck, they did not even know about the software update..

Thanks..

Let the dealer replace the radio if that is what they are suggesting... Also please verify that the hard button light means what you believe. This is often reversed (light on means system off). I don't know either way at the moment as I am a long ways away from any of those resources right now. So double check the manual on that.

As for the auto lower in park... That question is definitely still out there. If people are going in to their dealers and asking about it that is a start. Even better, when you are in for something else have them write a work order on that item referring to the manual.
