Saw it in another thread here in the Garage.

Start the car with door closed
Hold down the left and right mirror buttons on the left door or 15-20 secs
Turn the car off
Open the door for 5-10 secs
Start the car

It brings back the backup camera, at least until I turn it off again. This appears to be a reboot rather than reset. I didn't seem to lose any stored information.

Wondering the same thing ... Is anybody NOT having any issues with the latest update? Seems like this updated is cousin a lot of grief. I'm experiencing some issues but they are more of an annoyance than real issues.

Honestly if I was in charge of software development working on UConnect, heads would roll in QA department.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

I installed update a week ago, and registered Uconnect on 4/13. No issues before or after update. No issues since I took delivery. Had some glitches that were caused by my not knowing how everything operated, but the learning curve is smoothing out now. The update actually helps my system run better. Faster response, and better VR functionality.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

I had registered a few days ago, had issues after that, put on the update today and all is working well so far except that I am trying to change the night time display lighting and it never will change from 10. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Does anyone know if you have to have the lights on in order to get that choice to go from 10 down to 6 or 7? Everything else is working very well so far.

To adjust the nighttime display brightness:
1) make sure the dimmer wheel is not maxed out
2) choose night mode from the display menu
3) manually turn on your headlights and lower to your desired brightness
4) re-select auto from the display menu
5) turn off headlights or put it in auto

Now when your headlights come on, the screen should dim to the brightness you selected.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

Updates vs UConnect funny stuff

To My Knowledge, there have been no NEW problems with the latest update (loaded in the vehicle by USB). There are some things that UConnect Access seems to do on certain days that affect a number of people but it doesn't seem related to the update.

That's the feeling I have. Having had some of the "one day glitches", I think if it was related to the update they would be permanent.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

Yes, People keep bringing it up. I have PMed and read enough to confidently say people should run the update. I think it also takes a variable away in that there is 4 or 5 old softwares floating around there and at least 3 of the older softwares have phone pairing issues (Documented in Dealerconnect). There was one guy who got the service phone system error but I still thank that was hardware.

Btw, had to thank you for your post... big 100

On a slightly off topic but related note, I have driven 2 x 2013 Equinox in the last 6 months that were nearly identical... SUDDENLY they have changed the hardware of the radio and the stupid Bluetooth pairing is flaky as all hell. How can you go middle model year of a long in the tooth build and suddenly mess up the hardware??

Of course the advisor says to me the GM training guys say "GM spent $150,000 on Bluetooth technology, do you think your $300.00 phone might be the problem instead" to which I answered... "OH ya for sure GM is spending way more in Bluetooth technology testing and development than Google or Apple, for sure NOT!!"

Anyway, spent some time diagnosing it myself. If phonebook sync is turned off (denied) by my phone it works fine, so clearly they have now created a phone book sync issue. OH well, only have time to focus on one infotainment system and the UConnect is way more Awesomer (yes I wrote that on purpose)

I am also verifying if anyone has had this issue I am having.... We have the collision warning system on our Overland. The hard button shows it is on and when in U connect it is set to On and Far. Then sometimes I check Uconnect again and magically it is unchecked which would indicate the system is deactivated however the hard key is not lit ... Which would indicate it is active. Then I shut the vehicle off and when restarted, I go into Uconnect and it is now checked it is activated but is now selected Near. Is anyone else seeing a Uconnect ghost that is changing feature selections? The dealer has a new Uconnect radio they want to install but I am nervous as I believe it is a software issue and not hardware. I am afraid to have them change it out for for of all the BS I will probably need to go through with subscriptions, etc. any thoughts.

Secondly, any updates you are receiving regarding the setting to automatically lower the suspension when in park through Uconnect....as stated several places in the manual. This new update did not add this feature either. Dealer and jeep have no answers and don't know what I am talking about even when I show them in the manuals. Heck, they did not even know about the software update..

Thanks..
I am having the same problem you are regarding the Forward Collision Warning. I had the problem before the software update as well as after. I am planning to take it to the dealership this week however I do feel it is a software issue.

Try this test. Start the car and leave it in Park. Go to the settings screen and verify that the settings are how you left them. Far, Active Breaking On, etc. The push the seat memory button for driver two, or one. At this point my FCW settings change, and do not let you change them back. I have tried saving the settings how I want them to both memory buttons (1 & 2), but that does not fix the problem. I have to turn off the car, open the driver’s door, and then restart the car to get the settings back to where they should be.

Let me know what you find.

Thank you very much. I will try today.
Another question. When using unconnect app from your phone app, and turning on horn and lights, there isn't a turn off button. As far as I can tell, you have to use key fob to stop the action..

Unless you are parked in a dark garage, it would probably be best to do that setting at night.
