Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

Has the volume differential between sources been fixed? Been driving me crazy.

Also, can anyone vouch for the files that willx uploaded work? (can't be too careful on the internet! even here... thanks willx) I can't get the mopar website to download for more than a few minutes (30-50mb before stalling).

Thanks

Gotta be honest. I've had absolutely no issues and am hesitant to update the unit. OTOH I'm always updating shit on my computers...

Well the file name matches, and it extracts to the iso... and this forum community is unusually well mannered. I guess a 35-60k purchase is fairly self selecting!

Still would like a reference that the file works though!

Willx, nothing against you just want to make sure its worked for somebody using your files

I always advise caution out here in the wild west. Check with JDchamp31. not sure if he downloaded my file or his own but he could provide comparison.

I actually got the download to work from the Jeep uConnect Website but I had been talking to Will and since its a self extracting file it would be hard to tamper with. Don't take my word for it but if my download didn't work I would have used it no problem.

Plus not to mention the Jeep validates the update. Just make sure you pick the right radio for the download. Again. Not telling anyone to take any risks but....

Yes, and as I pointed out in my original post, if you are unsure, please wait and use the website. I have reposted what I downloaded but I am only human and I cannot take responsibility for all variables and situations.

If you are performing the update as per the PDF instructions in my original post and something goes wrong, go to your dealer, as you have only followed Chrysler's instructions. This apply's even if you downloaded it directly from Chrysler and I certainly would tell them any different.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

I'm having problems getting the file from mega. Do you have to download chrome? It keeps complaining about Safari saying my browser is not modern enough to download this file. Give me a break.

It gave me grief uploading it there too. I wanted to put it on my Sharepoint Server but I was able to download Chrome and upload the file before my Sharepoint got half way soooo... Chrome seems to work better that is all I can say.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

I downloaded the update file for my RA3 system (13.15.4) that Willx uploaded and it worked perfect on my Jeep. The update took about 10 minutes give or take.

I can say that the lag is gone! The Nav is MUCH quicker now and best of all you don't have to be stopped to enter a destination etc. I did NOT lose any of my settings. Even my SXM favorites were still there. Also, for the first few minutes i even saw the iheartradio.com, pandora and another one but disappeared, i got excited for that but maybe in the next update.

I was not having issues with my Uconnect except for the lag which wasn't really a big deal but working in the IT field I'm always applying updates to systems so i was eager to update my Uconnect, lol. Again, update your system at your own risk and follow the instructions! Big thanks to Willx

Apparently there was updates posted yesterday. Just confirmed that there is an update for many of the 2014 JGCs.

FYI the site is awfully slow, probably due to increased volume. If you get the white Bar across the screen WAIT, if you enter your VIN and click the button and nothing happens WAIT.... or do the items below as per the instructions.

Link to check: Uconnect | Support | Jeep

Here are the links for the speedy download (these are downloaded by members and re-uploaded for your ease of use) but if unsure not a bad idea to be patient and check your VIN above.

Here is the RA3
RA3_13_15_4-T3-8.exe (369.8 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!oNZCmLbJ!AiKWDH...exh0ew2PQbd4l8

Here is the RA4:
RA4_13_15_4-T3-8.exe (370.3 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!A5UUHCBC!IJMrFg...f56JdIQt1n4f28

Instructions are Attached

** It has been reported that install time for the RA3 was 10-15 minutes (instructions state up to 45)
** It has also been noted that the Mega file uploads work much better with Google Chrome

Edit: So far the only reported issues are as follows

- If you had an "apps" button it will turn into "settings" but will turn back to "apps".
- You will loose your XM Presets
-This update does not include a Quadra-Lift setting for drop in park, I am not sure if this is possible but submit to Customer Service if this is something people want.

These items are confirmed good.

-NAV Presets saved are ok through upgrade.
-Phonebook is unaffected.
-Recent NAV Points are also not affected.
-Users haved noted a marked increase in Navigation speed
-Users who were running the RAM Pickup update have had thier issues corrected.

I will update this Post as Bugs and Fixes are reported.

** Please post back things you notice about these updates good and bad.
Thanks Will. I downloaded your RA4 file and it worked flawlessly. Took about 10 minutes or so to install. I did not lose any of my settings/presets. Not sure what was updated because I can't find any differences. Maybe it was all internal "bug" fixes. I'll test it out some more tomorrow and post if I find any issues. Thanks again.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

A little tangent and I apologize. I noticed in the instructions that it said to oprn and close the drivers door and wait for the halo light to go out around the usb sockets. I am not seeing a halo light. Is anyone else not seeing a halo light around the usb port area?
