Well, it turns out that presets are changing depending on which fob is in the car. We have never attempted to program the fobs for anything so they must learn on their own. So that is not a concern any longer but, still having random system reboots and couple of screen freezes (short duration) along with random loss of sat signal in open areas. Had 1 black screen again that required shutting off the veh and open door and restarting. This has happened about 3 times while driving since doing the update.. Reboots will happen 2-3 times one after another and then be fine for a week or more. My build date is 3/30. Not sure what to think? Hardware or software problem? Not sure if I just continue to hope for an update to correct the issues or take it to the dealer who will most likely know nothing about how to deal with it. lol

Well thank you for looking into that. I may start another thread in the near future about some of these things we have learned through discussions like these. For example the keys are inherently identified differently by the vehicle at least with the latest update.

Lots of people complaining about presets flopping around and at least one of those story I read said the wife was in the car. So maybe two fobs in the car causes chaos!

Cool thanks for the continued feedback.

Yes, the preset thing was confusing. Two fobs in the veh does cause chaos! It seems that when two fobs are in the car and you both are getting in and out of the veh numerous times(shopping) it depends on which fob signal Uconnect latches onto first determines which presets are present.

That kinda sucks. My gf and I are constantly driving together in my 2013 and she always has a FOB in her purse and of course I have mine and have had no problems at all with this.

Same here, I have been using the same key fob since the update and i'm the only one that drives the jeep. I'll try the other key fob to see if anything changes.

2013 not affected. This is a new UConnect platform issue

Yeah I figured as such. Just kind of disappointing to know that you're losing a little functionality. Hopefully on their list of things to remedy!

It is software base so it is certainly possible to fix the issues by assigning the entry key fob on start up.... but I don't write the software. The fact we have identified what is happening in this case is well ahead of where the dealers would be on the issue so the development team might be a little while sorting it out.

Everyone in the Forum is on the Bleeding edge of the issues so there will be some catch up.

I don't have anything set as I am the only driver. In my last car you could over ride the driver selection of the fob by pressing the appropriate # on the door. So if you were driving with fob # 2, you could press the # 1 button on the door and have those presets work for you.

One of the reasons I love this forum so much! Very good communication amongst members, with both identifying both issues and good things as well.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

My uconnect system has been resetting multiple times per day. When it comes back up the touch screen is not responsive until the vehicle is powered down. Needless to say I'm pissed. Dealer ordered a new unit last week, was told it would be in today. Now I'm being told it won't be before early July. I had the system reset the day I purchased the vehicle. So annoyed. I have a case open with Jeep. Been waiting since Friday for a supervisor call back.
