If I followed your posts correctly, the problem started after doing the update. That would make me think it is a software, not a hardware problem.

With nothing to lose, I would try reinstalling the update, using the one in post 1 of this thread.

Obviously, be sure to select the one for your radio and follow the instructions to the letter.

Bill has a very good point. There is one user who was able to fix an issue by reinstalling. This is a good idea to try. There are numerous modules to the update. It is possible a single module did not load properly.

My system did this for about a week and then seemed to calm down. It's only done it once in a week now. This was before and after the 13.15.4 update. There is hope that it may just resolve itself.

I took mine to the dealership on 6/3 for the transmission clunking, trim pieces, and the uconnect system issues. They still have it....and I still have their Dodge Grand Caravan. Everything has been fixed they say but they are waiting on the radio replacement they ordered. They don't know when they will get it. I hope it isn't July. I am going to go pick up ky GC tomorrow and they will let me know when the new radio comes in so I can bring it back for them to install. I have a feeling a lot of systems are getting replaced and they are back ordered. Could be wrong but a possibility.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

I had issues both before and after the update. Even had the dealer do the update. I will download it again and try it. Very frustrating especially being I just had a lemon Pathfinder bought back by Nissan.

I say the same thing to everyone about that. This is a very new system, they are having some issues with it but it will get better because all of their infotainment systems are going to be based on this theme.

Trust me there are systems out there that were much worse on launch. The Unconnect 8.4AN did not try to kill me by telling me to go the wrong way on other interstate multiple times.... another manufacturer of premium products has. It was also flaky as hell.

But hey 8 updates later their system works pretty good now. They got it all fixed within about 7 or 8 months from launch but I still wouldn't say any of them were a "lemon"

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

Reporting back. So far (knock on wood) everything is back to normal. Had issues with vehicle phone requires services and reboots. I did factory reset and UNREGISTERED and REREGISTED again in UConnect (you can do in in UCONNECT store, it wipes out all the data and reloads it again).

I have to say the system works much faster now. I think there is something odd going on with registration process.

I read the STAR Case on the registration not being successful and needing to make sure you have at least 2 bars of signal. Going to start another thread on UConnect Diagnostic stuff hopefully if I get a chance in the next couple of days. I will post the engineering menu instructions and factory reset notes as well.

Please let us know if there are further developments.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

Adding in my comments. So far I seem like one of the lucky ones(knock on wood). Only issue I had before the update was VERY slow system, especially in NAV. Updated it 10 days ago and everything seems to be working a little faster. I also DID NOT lose any presets.

Excited for the Yelp to take over Bing this week!

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

My system froze up this morning. I posted a video on youtube.

I filled out the Jeep survey and somebody from Jeep called me yesterday concerned about the issues I was having with the Nav system, rebooting/freezing. I missed the call, but on the message they suggested I go to the dealer. I'll wait and see if they can fix this with software as the dealer probably won't be able to duplicate.

Re: UConnect updates available NOW!

I've only had my 2014 Limited for a few weeks and am really enjoying it but yesterday something weird happened.

My doors wouldn't lock with any of the three (left door, right door, hatch) outside buttons once yesterday afternoon and I had to use my key fob to lock it. Does this have anything to do with the radio or is it controlled somewhere else.
