I had a local shop install a Audison bit ten dsp, hybrid audio imagine 6x9 components and my 12" kicker sub. Front speakers are powered by a ken wood excelon xr900-5 with 60watts to tweeter, 60 watts to 6x9 and 400 watts to sub. Tweeter high pass at 4500hz, 6x9 high pass 50hz and low pass at 4500hz and sub at low pass 80hz.
The front speakers are definitely louder and the highs are more clear but I feel like I've lost all of my mid bass, especially with sirisxm. I almost feel like the stock system sounded better overall. I'm stating to think I should have kept the stock and and just upgraded the sub.
The shop said my sub isn't able to play the higher bass notes very well.
Would going to a 10 or 8 inch sub help? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you

Greetings,

I also understand with the 15 now, the noise reduction system built-in plays havoc with the aftermarket subs. Many here have reported they disconnected the internal microphones. I do know this is an issue the JL Audio Sleathbox.

Best for now.:)

Are you referring to Active Noise Cancellation? That only comes with the Harmon Kardon, I'm assuming OP doesn't have the HK system.
