Upgraded RA2 to RA4, Week Later Jeep Calls 911

A week or two ago I finally got around to removing the RA2 headunit and putting in an RA4. Everything seemed to be working fine except Uconnect. Fast forward to this week and while driving down the highway the Jeep decided to call 911. Since I don't have the Uconnect button on the mirror, I had no way to turn it off. I was driving on the highway during a snowstorm so I did not want to pull over and shut the car off either. I explained to the operator what happened and she disconnected the call. Anybody else who upgrade have this happen? Anybody who had teh RA4 from the factory ever have this happen?

Re: Upgraded RA2 to RA4, Week Later Jeep Calls 911

Two things come to mind...

1) Perhaps you need a dealer to adjust the vehicle computer configuration to account for the change from RA2 to RA4. This is sometimes the case when equipment is changed from the original factory configuration...it's not like the "old days" when computers were not involved

2) The system may be mistaking the missing mirror button connections for some kind of fault or accident. Automatically calling 911 upon a collision is a frequently provided feature of these connected systems and if it "thought" that something was amiss, it may have accordingly launched the call

I had planned on bringing to the dealer and having them add the sales codes and flash, I just haven't had a free day since work's been so busy. There are quite a few people who have done this change and I haven't heard of anyone else having this or a similar problem. In fact, usually anything to do with Uconnect will not work at all.
