Hi, I have purchased a Kenwood DNX893 to replace my 730n RHR. Selling the 730n on ebay if anybody is interested.

We will see how it goes and I will let you all know. I am looking forward to some of the features like Spotify and Pandora built in as well as carplay and HD radio. I also like the interface and split screen NAV.

I am wondering how INRIX traffic will work compared to sirius traffic

will update

I will send pics once the work starts. I will offer opinions as well. Unfortunately, one receiver was lost before it got to UPS, thankfully vendor refunded money quickly. The second receiver is on its way.

So not off to the best start

The radio came in and probably will install tonight. I am still nervous if this is the best decision. We will see. I sorta like the RHR but would like a more up to date UI with apps

The install is completed and went fairly smoothly. I believe I followed RageofFury's install write up from another thread. Anyways it is as follows.
1. Remove trim around radio. Easiest way is to open cubby and pull on center stack trim piece until all clips are removed.

2. Unplug ac connectors and put trim ac controls to the side

3. Unscrew 7mm bolts holding in radio

4. Unscrew 3 7mm bolts holding in metal bracket that old radio went in to

5. Follow all wiring instructions from Maestro and radio. A couple of maestro ch1 wires remain unconnected like yellow/black, brown and pink

6. Install radio maestro and the mess of wires it is a tight fit. Also you need to trim the opening of radio space to accommodate the larger chassis.

I still need to get Bluetooth over uconnect working. Remove the double guidelines in backup cam and finish the mount. The radio did not come with screws maybe because it was a refurb so I need to get some M5x7's. And the metra mounting brackets were two right handed ones.

Also I ran the USB cables from radio to center cubby be drilling a hole in back of cubby. That is the 1st pic. The USB is a dual one for CarPlay/android auto and USB stick

Here are some pics of install. Forthcoming will be pics of new radio. Ask questions and I will try to answer. Bumper Photography Automotive exterior Small appliance
