Question US Nav map to China Nav Map

Hey Guys, I brought my 2014 GC Overland to China where I will live for the next 3 years. It came with itīs original 8.4AN/RA4 system which includes the US map. I was wondering if it is possible to update the map database with the Chinese map and if so, how should it be done. Btw, I am living in Shanghai and there are some Jeep dealerships, however, their answer was that I should buy the whole system (chinese version) to replace the US version. That could be around 1500 USD.

If any of you has any clue about this I will be more than grateful.

Cheers!!

Mario

Re: US Nav map to China Nav Map

Perhaps see if you can source one from an auto recycler? Might be a cheaper option.

Re: US Nav map to China Nav Map

check with customtronix.

they may be able to get the chinese version of the software to work on your US radio for a much more reasonable fee.

from their website looks like they are experienced in getting European maps on US vehicles.
