Is the stick inserted when you switch to USB?

Mine has never been able to use USB if the thing is already plugged in when I either turn on the jeep or just select usb from some other media.

Its what we call a "feature"

Re: USB port not playing at all

An extender is not a bad idea. I have a flush USB charger in the Cigarette Lighter socket too. When I was trying to update the software I plugged the USB stick into the cigarette lighter charger. Damn thing wouldn't upgrade
