Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

Go home always works. I couldn't get anything else saved to work. It does work by saying the whole address: "Go to ( #, street, city, state)", but who wants to do that

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

Post #2 and post #9 of this thread explains how this works. It works for me every time. Did you try what I posted in post #2, or read the instructions in post #9? I'll try again. Go to nav, either by the softkey or VR. Say "find favorite". Wait for the prompt. Say the favorite exactly as you have it entered in your favorites. The VR will repeat your choice and ask if you want to start the route. Works every time for me. I'm using Uconnect version 14.25.5.

Been there, done that to no avail in the past. Haven't tried it with 14.25.5 yet, but will this weekend.

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

The NAV>FAVORITE works for me on 14.05.3 but I usually just nav>state>city and start route and when I get close add the street address since I don't have many set favorites. Have not had a problem yet

Jacko, my apologies... 'Find favorite' works every time! I didn't even have to be on a nav screen (believe me I tried it a bunch, from every scenario). Thanks

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

No problem, glad it's working for you now. I've noticed over time that some of the Uconnect commands can be a bit problematic, but by going over the instructions and trying different wording, you can get it to do a lot of really useful things. It's a work in progress, and the software updates almost always seem to smooth out the edges a little more with each one.

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

Tried it again on a trip I made on Saturday with no success. The first time I tried it, the system locked up and I had to reboot using the Vol - Tuning buttons. Finally, I stopped and entered it manually.

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

I've found that having the fan speed set to 2 can cause problems with the system misunderstanding a command. Setting the fan to 1 and no issues. I imagine it would be useless driving with the windows open.

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

I've played around with this a bit more today and when I say "Nav Favorites" it takes me to the Travel Link Favorites. If I say "Nav to Favorites" it asks me if I want to make a phone call. If I say "Nav Where To Favorites" it says it can't understand me. If I say "Navigate to Favorites" it asks for an address. "Navigate Favorites" gets the address response as well.

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

I'll post it again, for the third time on this thread, say "find favorite".

Works fine if I want a Travelink Favorite.

Re: Using voice to navigate to a favorite destination.

Sorry it doesn't work for you. It works for me every time. Are you saying more than "find favorite" when prompted , and waiting for the prompt afterwards? Maybe you need a trip to your dealer. ( Not sure I know what a 'Travelink Favorite' is.)
