Seeing you have the 730 RHR, can you confirm for me with the CHR550 installed, do the two factory USB ports, lower right side on the Headunit and in the arm rest still work after installing the CHR550?

Thanks!
Hey sorry I don't think I said it anywhere. I have the 730 RER so I can only answer part of your question and the lower USB port on the head unit does work. I do not have a USB in the arm rest but in the center console and that does work as well. I cant think of any reason why they would not work after the install though.

To answer an earlier question from someone - the resolution on the backup camera does drop a little bit.

(In my opinion the backup camera was a horrible addition to cars, as I was hit in a parking lot by a person backing out of a spot who said "I did not see you in my camera", so I do not use it much. People are beginning to rely on stuff like that instead of their own abilities to control the vehicle. I understand the people towing and other reasons its very helpful for though.)

Re: Which Lockpick for 730 RHR

I have the Lockpick installed (on the 730RHR), and ran the lockpick/IPOD and lockpick/USB cables over to the glove box, and left them in there.

I cannot view videos with the lockpick installed (purchased from coastal e-tech) via the USB in the head unit and/or the armrest USB while the truck is in drive. I believe that when you connect the IPOD and/or USB that is connected directly to the lockpick, and you select from the head unit "lockpick" it will display video accordingly. I have yet to try it; but I beleive that is how kmt16 has done this (looking good by the way).

To this point, I have only used the DVD while in drive and NAV functions while in drive.

Re: Which Lockpick for 730 RHR

Thanks guy for the confirmation and follow up. Sounds like I'll be ordering the CHR550 version of the lockpick

Re: Which Lockpick for 730 RHR

Ok: confirmed - the use of the IPOD cables that are directly connected to the lockpick allowed me to watch video from your IPOD while in drive. Very cool; this will allow netflix viewing while on long trips...

Speaking for the 730RHR, don't know about any others...

I heard the original backup camera video quality drops once any of these is installed.

X 2 I am interested in knowing this as well.

Re: Which Lockpick for 730 RHR

Rear cam: on my 730, IF it changed, it was so very slightly that I didn't notice.

With the overall video quality: with the IPOD connected/watching video: I didn't notice any difference. Further, with the DVDs while in drive, I did not notice any difference. I am not sure why there would be any changes with the addition of a lockpick; but with anything electronic - it wouldn't have suprized me to see changes...
