Re: Why iPod?

Cause i have an iphone & carry it with my at all times. Plus there is less chance of me loosing it or the kids killing it.

My standard audio system in the car is sub standard to yours.

Also you can use the eq and sound check settings on your iPod with the mopar cable. I use them with no problems. You don't need an aux cable to use the iPod sound settings.

that's good to know. We will be taking a long trip in the next few weeks and I will fill up my wife's iphone with MY music before we leave. My mp3 player works great but it loves batteries.

Or buy a cheap USB thumb drive and fill that with your music. This works great for me.

I have the HD on the Jeep almost completely filled with music now but I don't like the way it sounds. I like the way it sounds through my mp3 player and aux cable but don't like the battery use. If I can use the iphone, with the good sound, and not worry about battery, it's a win win for me.

I have a ton of 16GB thumb drives, I use them for my work a lot.

I'm running the iPhone 4 mygig update (not sure the version) and my iPhone is updated to 4.3.3.

Re: Why iPod?

I got tired of waiting for an update and fighting to get my iPhone to connect...I got a 160gb iPod classic. It holds my entire library and I just leave it in the jeep.

X2. It reads quickly and works flawlessly. Plus, the iPod is always fully charged so if you want to take it out it's ready to go. Kind of makes the Jeep's built in HD redundant, though.
