At the dealer right now. Just test drove an Overland V6 with the RHR, yes the RHR system. Don't have pics but the system has RHR on the bottom right of he unit, USB port in the center console arm rest and one on the dash unit itself. Started off by pairing my iPhone 4 (4.2.1) via voice commands. Pressed the phone button on steering wheel, called out setup and went from there. No problems... It then looked for my contacts and transferred them with no problems. U can see a phone on the screen with an arrow pointing to an address book as it is downloading ur contacts. You can access your phone book on the screen only one way. MENU-MY FILES-ADDRESS BOOK then page down until u see your phone. Select it and your contacts are displayed. I then tried out the Bluetooth streaming. Select RADIO MEDIA, press DEVICES and select yogur phone. No problems! Audio quality was GOOD. In streaming you do not get album artwork. This has been the case
for all of the SUV's I have tested with this function.

Ok now, center console USB (drum roll please!). It worked flawlessly!! Yeah!! Plugged my phone in, it beeped letting me know that it was charging. Selected RADIO MEDIA, AUX and USB. Presto! Album artwork showed up, no problems...

The only thing I am not able to access is SMS texting. Can't figure that one out...

Calling on the uconnect phone was OK. Some names it would recognize and some, like BANK it didn't like... I would say "call bank" and instead of it asking me " calling bank is this correct?" it would just say "is this correct" and a yes/no prompt on screen would show. Leaving you to ask yourself, "is what correct???" 9 times out of 10 if I said "yes" it would dial the correct number but it was a bit frustrating.

Voice nav took lots of commands to get it to start navigation. Was not great.

That's all I have for now... I drove this salesman bonkers! LOL

Regarding your assessment of U-Connect - did I read somewhere where there is a training procedure to go through to get the system to "know" your voice?[/QUOTE]

Yes there is a place in one of the setup menus that takes you through getting to know ur voice...

How does the NAV interface look? Similar to the older 730N or is it drastically different?

I just received my Summit yesterday with the 730N RHR. There is no USB in the center armrest or in the compartment below the system. I think this is a mistake? Of course all the salespeople said not needed, its because it does Bluetooth streaming.

Any else with a RHR with no USB except the one on the faceplate?

Put your arm on the armrest, click the right button under the armrest. This opens the smaller compartment directly below the armrest. Look at the very back of smaller compartment. It's in the very back and lighted at night.

It seems I can't get my Blackberry Tour 9630 to stream Pandora through the 730n RHR . The RHR sees the device, Pandora plays on the phone but not through Bluetooth to the radio. I'm sure I need to play with this some more. Anyone have any insight or suggestions on this? Much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

Picked up my Limited today with the 730 RHR and plugged my ipod into the centre console USB; plays and selects songs no problem, but does not seem to show the album artwork. Is there some additional action I have to do, or per a previous poster do I just have to wait for some kind of sync between ipod and RHR?

Cheers,

jim.

Thanks to all for the responses. It now seems to be showing the artwork for most of the songs on the ipod.

Now I am trying to use the VR to select the songs, etc. but when I press the button on the sterring wheel I am told "video is active, option not available". Not sure what this means, nor how I can change the system to allow me to be able to select songs, artists, genre, etc.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Cheers,

Jim.

Hi everyone. I'm driving a 2011 overland with a 730N RHB. I'm having trouble playing music with my iPhone 4 viA the center console USB. Also, with the iPhone streaming music comes in and out however with the blackbery 9630 no problems with streaming.
What is the difference bw the RHB and RHR?
Does anyone know where I can find information about navigation voice demands?

Pretty interesting. Sure lots of buttons to play with.
The Jeep Nav Tech says it covers all the North Americas, but it only covers Canada and the US of A. Does anyone know of a change in the program to cover the rest of the North Americas. Mexico down to Panama perhaps.
