Drew, got mine here at our Jeep dealership around November for A$75 (US$67) Melbourne Orstraylya. Dealer fitted it for A$80
It seemed at the time that it was too cheap in the USA.
Chrysler twigged and rejigged!

I had that issue during the installation. What i found to be easiest(with tow hooks installed) is to turn the wheels to the opposite side u are working on and reach in from the wheel wells as u would do to access the fog lights

Anyone have the stock piece they are willing to part with? Someone hit mine and wasn't kind enough to own up to it.

I had the exact same thing happen to me this afternoon. Is there a quick/easy way to snap the chrome trim back against the bumper???

Re: '14 Laredo DIY: Front-lower-bumper-chrome insert

Hello all from Sydney, Australia.

Just wanted to let you all know i have just done this to my '14 Laredo and it looks great. I found, the easiest way to do it was by
1. Removing the Air Dam by undoing the 7 twist locks and pulling it slowly starting from the sides. (My car is only a couple of weeks old and these clips were incredibly tight, however once you get one it seems to be easier after that.
2. With the air dam off i took the whole piece inside (where i could remove everything on carpet so it wouldn't get scratched and i had better light seeing i was doing this @ 8pm.
3. Remove all the metal clips that are visible, the worst of them is at the bottom of the meshy insert bit as they pull out.
4.Gently (being the key word) tug on the plastic trims of both the insert and the mould being replace and get it all out.
5. Put in the new chrome piece ensuring all the clips line up correctly.
6. Put back in the insert making sure all the clips line up - take your time with this one, the new chrome doesn't flex like the plastic does so be gentle and you'll get there.
7.put all the metal clips back in and make sure its secure.
8.Place the Air Dam back onto the car, make sure all the clips line up and push them back in until they click.
9. Replace all the twist locks.
10. Clean and enjoy!

What i have found in my last 5 years being a Dodge & Jeep owner is when dealing with the cheap plastic that Chrysler & Jeep love so much the trick is to take your time.

Re: '14 Laredo DIY: Front-lower-bumper-chrome insert

Hello! Sorry if this was answered somewhere else, but I have looked and looked and looked and have come up with practically nothing.....

So, I want to do the opposite of the original poster. I want to swap out my chrome lower grille surround for a black one. I am deleting the chrome from my WK2 and plastidip didn't go so well for that piece (it must have been wet in a corner and it peeled... too much work, too frustrating to do again). So I'm asking if anyone knows what part I need to order, maybe a part number I could look for or tell my dealer to order? Thanks much!

I'm actually in the same boat - making plans to de-chrome my limited, and it hasn't even been built yet. After spending way to much of my precious free time - I think the part number is 68143070AC, but it should be verified before it's ordered.

Re: '14 Laredo DIY: Front-lower-bumper-chrome insert

that's what I found too... and I asked my dealership, and after a little hesitation, they said it was the correct part, but it needs to be painted.

If yo'all live anywhere near Melbourne , Australia, I have one you can have. My chrome insert is great. I now have a Laredo/Overland/Summit/SRT8 CRD and I love it.
