Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
Smart cars are very safe! Do some research.

+1 The Fiat 500 is a IIHS top safety pick as well.

The problem and biggest complaint about those smart cars is the lack of interior space

Yeah but the Fiats have enough room for an expresso machine

Be the first to mod your 2011!

I'll be honest, biggest reason I want to disable the DLR is for the look....lol.

I want to be able to turn on my parking lights and drive, I like that look in my opinion...and currently my dlr's are in the way of doing that becasue when I turn on my parking lights while driving it just looks like I have turned on my headlights.

Now, my question is...
If I pull the relay's for the dlr's....

Will the lights still illuminate when you approach the vehicle as it unlocks? Because I do like that feature when it's dark out.

Re: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee-how to disable DRL's

Anybody figure out how to disable the DRLs on the halogen headlights?.
I have a 2012 Altitude with drls and no HIDS.

I tried unplugging the two right and they are still on.

Re: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee-how to disable DRL's

Hi Gents and Ladies, I realize this is a subject on "How To Disable The DRL'S, But I kind of like them, especially since I have a "BLACK" Altitude that can use some visibility
even in the daytime. Unfortunately mine didn't come with DRL's and even my dealer couldn't turn them on, And I really didn't want to rewire my virgin Cherokee, So I just put a piece of black tape over the auto headlight sensor on the top of the dash and now my headlights come on every time the ignition comes on. I realize the tail lights also come on and I'll probably be changing bulbs like crazy, but I can't think of any other way to add DRL's and still look stock. I tried the LED strips but they look kind of cheesy and aren't really bright enough. If anyone else has any Ideas let me know. Thanks in advance
