Thumbs up 2013 WK with Hemi acceleration hesitation fix

Hi Guys,

I just though fellow 2013 owners would like to know this. A few days ago I was at the dealer for warranty work and they asked if they could flash a few updates to my Jeep (for free yay) and I let them. Boy I am happy that they did.

They performed this flash in this TSB 18-027-13

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_1802713.pdf

Befor this flash off the line acceleration was not that good. From 0-20 took what seems forever then the Hemi would kick in. Now after the flash power is there from the get go, big improvement for me.

Keep in mind I also did the factory pedal calibration but i am not sure that did anything and my money for the improvement was the flash.

Thanks for your time...

Paul.

Paul, what is the pedal calibration you mentioned? I've never heard of that.

Re: 2013 WK with Hemi acceleration hesitation fix

Hi Dan,

I found it here on a Dodge forum...
2013 RT acceleration hesitation - Page 2 - DodgeForum.com

Do the factory pedal calibration
1) Sit in the WK and do not touch the brake pedal.
2) Now push the start button twice until it gets to run(again don't actually start or touch brake)
3) Now slowly push the gas pedal all the way to the floor and slowly let it come all the way back up.
4) Now hit the start button again to turn everything off.
5) Start your WK normally and see if the pedal is a little more responsive now.

I did it but I am not sure if it did anything.

Thanks again Paul. Just did it. Will drive it later today or tomorrow.

This board and its members are the best.

Re: 2013 WK with Hemi acceleration hesitation fix

Drove my wife and I to a wonderful seafood supper at Silver Bay which was about a 40 mile roundtrip. Not sure but I think the calibration fixed the hesitancy between 2 and 3. Will check again soon.
