2014 Summit Front Tow Hooks

Hi all. First post here in the garage. Thought I would share the outcome of a front tow hook install on my 2014 JGC Summit. I have see a few that scared me away from doing them myself so I ensured that the dealer included this with my purchase. They realized they were also in over their head so they sent my Jeep to Performance Collision Center in Indianapolis (Indianapolis Collision Repair | Auto Body Indianaplolis | Indianapolis Body Shop | Performance Collision Center). They were able to to an excellent and very clean job with the Jeep know that I would be unhappy if it wasn't done well. Though it is a tight fit, they were able to cut just the middle "mesh" row on the outside of each side. I have ensured that I can attach hooks or straps (snug fit) without issue. Hopefully it helps others that might be looking to add tow hooks to their 2014 Summits.

Re: 2014 Summit Front Tow Hooks

looks good

also looking at those compared to the overland hook placement, it does not seem like a terrible difference between the two as far as ground clearance and angle, etc.

can you take a pic or two of the front end from more distance?
also have you tried to put a strap on there?

I can get some better pictures late today. I will throw the strap on there as well when taking the pictures.

Re: 2014 Summit Front Tow Hooks

Couple more pictures as requested. They are hard to see in the wider shot which is honestly how I wanted it.

Nice Job that is the best I have seen so far. One question do you know if they modified the stock hook at all? lengthened, spacers or anything like that or is it stock hook just bolted on? doesn't appear modified to me but just checking

Does not appear to have any spacers. Sorry for poor quality photos.

Glad I could assist! Hopefully it helps a lot of the Summit owners get a factory look with their tow hooks.

Re: 2014 Summit Front Tow Hooks

Anybody have "The idiot's guide to a quick and easy summit fascia removal (and getting the SOB back together"?

What is teh part number for the black plastic part that was cut? May be worth buying one and cutting off the car.

Should be able to do it myself if I take of the fascia.
