2016 JGC Rearview Mirror

Hey guys/gals,

I did a search already and found nada, does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the rearview mirror for a tint install??

The cover just pops off and can vary by year and trim level.

But the mount on the glass I believe are all the same.

Are you doing a full tint or a strip at the top?

Full window and strip, it was a pain in the ass to twist that thing back on!

Do you have a basic mirror Autodim or the rainsense/autobright mirror? I have the latter and want to get a 7 inch tint strip put on.

Auto Dim, entire windshield is done along with 8" from top of windshield at 5%

How do you like it? I bought an '05 with a 7" strip and hated it at first and then fell in love with it. I can't wait to get my new one done. BTW, does your username refer to Kalamazoo? Or is it just happenstance?

I haven't measured but I have a dark tinted strip at the top of my windshield and absolutely love it. I live in AZ so I'm constantly driving into the sun and it helps out tremendously.

I love the setup, I just need the tint guy to clean up some lines.....

The Great Gazoo from The Flintstones, but with a K... LOL
