Battery replacement.

How on earth are you supposed to replace the battery on a 2014 Grand Cherokee? Ive found the compartment, But are you supposed to remove the seat to change the battery?

Re: Battery replacement.

As far as I know, the passenger front seat slides all the way forward and all the way up, which gives you full access to remove the hatch cover and replace the battery.

Re: Battery replacement.

Working out how to replace the battery is one thing. Actually getting a battery is another. We've tried a couple of dealers in Melbourne Australia and they don't carry batteries. The roadside assist people don't have batteries.

Currently very frustrated and we have a dead battery and can't get hold of one in Melbourne!

Re: Battery replacement.

I checked, the seat only goes so far both directions. Doesnt seem like enough clearance to remove it.
