Thanks for the write up

I'm planning to hardwire my V1, is it possible to hardwire both?

I have my dashcam and Garmin satnav powered from the mirror.

Since I'm a total newb at this - can you tell me which wires, or where they are both tapped to? I'm surprised that there's space for both

Re: Blackvue DR500GW-HD DashCam Install

Sorry, new to this forum. I have a dash am and wanted to hardware it for my 2012 Summit. Is there a wire in overhead that I can use and what is this other mention of a harness adapter that people are using for their radar detectors? I don't want wires plugged in everywhere and I'm sure having a dash am when parked would be nice as long as it doesn't drain the battery.

I would also appreciate an answer for this. I have a hard wired camera in my 2011 kia optima (modded cigarette lighter to be a constant 12v source).

I've been trying to research what wires to tap into, but can't find an answer. Would it be possible to tape into the rearview mirror for a 12v constant? 2014 limited.

Hey guys, go to the first page of this thread, and the very first post has very explicit instructions on the location of the hot wires and how to install the camera.

I did read. The OP has it connected to a wire which is only on when the car is on. I'm looking to connect it to a wire that has a constant 12V power even when the car is turned off.

I'm considering getting one of these for my GC, but I definitely want it hard wired. My primary concern is people hitting my car in the parking lot, accidents or other craziness is a plus, but people hit my car in the parking lot way more often
I had the Blackvue DR500GW-HD & Power Magic Pro installed in my previous car and plan to install it on my wk2 when it arrives.
The Power Magic Pro is adjustable to the point where it can shut off power before dropping below a specified level.

and the video.

My question is how to power both a v1 and a dashcam from the mirror?

It's not exactly what you're looking for, but you get the idea.

This is my install.
