Well it would have been obvious why if you had bothered to read

"I wanted the install to be as invisible and clean as possible, I wanted it wired in permanently to make use of parking mode"

I cant believe people are so hung up on proving other peoples opinions wrong

To have a clean install and use parking mode you dont need the power majic pro. I had no trouble reading your write up

Not just a clean install, an invisible install, and in my opinion you're incorrect. But that's neither here no there. This boils down to my own personal choice which you seem to have taken umbrage to.

To remind you "Cant believe people are so hung up on the power magic pro"

I honestly don't understand why you seem to exhibit such disappointment in peoples personal choices.

But this is the last I will say on the matter.

Re: Blackvue DR500GW-HD DashCam Install - 2014 Limited

Im just saying its not needed unless you park for more than 5days simple as that. Interesting you say its invisable because you used the power magic pro lol. You have added more wiring. I would challenge and say mine is just as invisable without it

Btw im commenting on the power magic pro as it is marketed as a must have if you use park mode. Im saying its not a must have preventing those from wasting $$ on it..

Re: Blackvue DR500GW-HD DashCam Install

I just got my 2017 Overland. Looking to install a Blackvue 650. I'd like to pull constant(unswitched)12V from the mirror or overhead console. From what I've heard/seen the power in the mirror is switched. Anyone know of a 12V tap in the center overhead console? It seems the overhead lights are available when the vehicle is off? Could it be tapped there?
