HI!
Finally on monday my wait is over!!!!
OMG i cant believe i will have my new car on monday!!! i took pictures and everything, it is in the Chrysler Rep, it arrived yesterday from customs Dominican Republic.
My question is, do i have to do a break in period on the engine and if so how do i do it?
i have heard both versions the one that says they are already broken in and the other that is to drive it moderate for the first 500 miles.
What do i do?
Yes very the speed. Don't use cruise control during breakin. And Yes, stomp on it once in a while during breakin. People say this will give you the best fuel economy and best engine performance.

Congratulations on your new ride, Felipito! As most have already suggested, drive moderately during it's first 500 miles. Vary speeds, and NO stomping. Also, go easy on the brakes: Avoid panic stops for the first few hundred miles, if you can.
I don't believe in break in periods. When I have rebuilt motors for other cars it went right on the dyno after an initial startup of a few seconds to check for leaks. I rebuild my dirtbike engines a good amount (I have 4 dirtbikes and 2 of my kids race ) and it's always full throttle from the start.
Ha, not a totally unwarranted comment. Everyone seems to do something different for break in and swear it works great, Im starting to think it doesn't make a huge difference. Besides, the engines have already been run a few times before the buyer picks up the vehicle so..... :slapfight: may continue now
