Cargo cover bar

Ok I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I was trying to load a lot of things this past weekend into the back of my 2014 Overland, and almost couldn't because of the rear cargo cover bar would not come out. Is this removable?? Again I hope this doesn't sound too dumb. If it's not removable, then it's totally in the way for large cargo. Thanks!

Re: Cargo cover bar

It's only dumb not to ask!

It's spring loaded, just pull to one side and lift out.

Be careful if it slips outta your hands it will scratch the sides of the panels as it retracts. I wish Chrysler had used a better material to prevent this from happening over time.

Re: Cargo cover bar

Really cuts down on usable space. Mine has lived in plastic bag in my garage for almost 3 years.

I like how my wife's13 rav4 there is a space for the cargo cover to go ( on top of the spare) when not in use. Mine; like everybody else, is just collecting dust in storage.

I think you put it in the gap under the rear seats.
