Re: Discovered the visor on week 3 :)

You will also notice that when the Day Time Running Lights (DTRL) are on and you put on your indicator the DTRL on the side the indicator is blinking will go out.

You may be talking about 2 different things. Are you talking about pulling the exterior handle or the interior handle?

When you pull the exterior handle on the passenger side it will always unlock all of the doors. When you pull on the exterior handle on the drivers side it will unlock either the drivers door only or all 4 doors depending on how the "Unlock Drivers Door First" is set on the EVIC Setup.

When you pull the interior drivers door handle, it will unlock only the door that you pulled the handle on unless the "Auto Unlock Doors" is checked on the EVIC Setup, but the passenger interior handle will only unlock the passenger door no matter what.

The button on the hatch locks and/or unlocks however as mentioned the button on the front door only seems to lock...

Yeh Tinkan, I just noticed that today as I turned into the dry cleaner using the directional and saw it reflected in the window.

The extending visor has been standard in most cars for about 15 years.

Re: Discovered the visor on week 3 :)

if you press your unlock button on the key fob, and actually hold down and keep it pressed on the second successive press the front windows will roll down till you let go or they are fully down.

Good when walking to your car on a hot day.

Re: Discovered the visor on week 3 :)

Brings the cabin to ambient temp and induces less strain on the A/C system. The older Jettas had the window, I've always been a fan of it.

Re: Discovered the visor on week 3 :)

Majority of the "secrets" have been in my other cars from 2003 and onward. I haven't come across anything in my wk2 that is a first or is exclusive, most have been standard in my past vehicle minus the key fob thing. Is it that majority of you guys are coming from a really old vehicle or is it really that easy to impress people these days?

How do you like the 85P and is the PSI gauge pretty accurate? Have you used it with the GC yet? Any blown fuses? The 85P max rating is 14.5A and the GC is rated at 13A.

Which BMW has decontented out within the last couple of years. At least in the 3 Series. Then again, most cell phones put out as much light as the BMW flashlight, so it's not that big of a deal.
