Re: Discovered the visor on week 3 :)

See pics -
It's hard to see, but the arrows are on the plastic next to the elbow where the visor attaches to the headliner. These only indicate that the visor slides in and out on the support arm.

Well that did it! Now I see what we are talking about! Even the passenger side extends. I don't think I would have ever discovered that without the pic and this thread

This is a chinsy implementation. There should be an extender built in that actually extents the area to block light. This just moves the visor. There IS a difference.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this.

I used this feature for the first time this weekend (on my first significant road trip) and it worked great! After turning the visor to cover the driver-side window, I was able to slide the visor laterally to cover the sun perfectly.

Extenders are always smaller (since they fit in the visor) and in the past I've had the sun peek around an extender.

Seconded. Another thing about extenders is that they often rattle or loosen enough that they will not hold their position. Jeep implementation is good, simple and effective.

Good when walking to your car on a hot day.
That was a pretty cool trick.

Now how do you make the windows roll up and the sun roof to close automatically when you turn off the vehicle?

Re: Discovered the visor on week 3 :)

I showed my dealer today about the sliding sunvisor and the DRL's that turn off when using the turn signal. He did not know either features. Nice to show the experts a few tricks on something they sell.

Re: Discovered the visor on week 3 :)

since ppl are talking about little features you've found on the WK2's, we all know the battery is under the passenger front seat BUT under the driver seat is an identical storage bin. Move the seat all the way forward and the floor cover pops right open. can be used to hide things, lol...
