Re: DIY: Hemi 5.7L Spark Plug Change

Wow, Raptor, don't pop a head gasket man. Take it easy on the keyboard.

Maybe they changed it from 11-12? I don't know but for the 2011 (as proven by the page I uploaded) I am correct.

If anyone trusts WK2Jeeps, good luck on that venture. They are almost the MSNBC of the jeep world

Enjoy your internet rage dude.

For the last time no your not correct, you have posted the wrong 5.7L hemi WK2 plug torque specs but don't seem to be able to admit your mistake!

If anyone trusts WK2Jeeps, good luck on that venture. They are almost the MSNBC of the jeep world.
You do know that site is published by one of the most knowledgeable and informed Chrysler insiders we have on this forum... Milous... Right?

Enjoy your internet rage dude.
What internet rage??

You posted incorrect information several times in this thread.

I corrected you and told you too reread the thread because I'm very sure I posted the right 5.7l hemi plug torque info in this thread several months ago as did several others. (Plug torque info read directly from a genuine Chrysler factory service manual btw)

Then you boldly and arrogantly tell me I'm wrong when in fact it is you who were wrong! Just apologize for the misinformation you posted and move on, we all made mistakes sometimes.

Ok "Dude"

A "rage" is when you wipe out the whole family with an axe. Not when you correct misinformation on the Internet. And besides, is 3 or 4 pounds difference in torque on a spark plug going to mean anything? Those things got a mile of thread on them.

Re: DIY: Hemi 5.7L Spark Plug Change

I torqued mine in the 13-20 range... They're working fine... ; )

PS, I do agree with the copper plugs lasting longer than recommended intervals. Mine were fine at 32K, and I know my use is wicked haad cooaaar,,, fwiw.

(but champion??, oh nooo.....)

Yeah, went to the dealer. Printed it out. Same as what I said. 2011 5.7 Hemi.
Sigh......
And yes, WK2Jeeps has indeed been wrong. For one, it said something like 44 lb-ft for a differential plug?!? Not in my manual, not on my jeep it isn't.

Re: DIY: Hemi 5.7L Spark Plug Change

Just did this service. Thanks to the original poster for the write up, though I wish the photos were available.

I ended up using an additional 6" 3/8" extension to make some of the driver side work easier. Also, I learned the usefulness of a locking extension set, which I just bought for next time.
