Re: Dried bug cleaning tips

To add, if your doing a hand wash with a bug covered front end, after you lather your Jeep in soap, spray some P21S Total Auto Wash on the affected areas. It removes bugs and crud amazingly well.

Thanks for all the tips. We'll see what happens during this weekend's wash.

I used to watch the tv show "Shade Tree Mechanic" and one of the tips they used was baking soda and water. It really works. Always rewash with soap to remove all of the baking soda. I've only used this on the painted surfaces. I read somewhere that if used on glass the powder can become impeded in the small scratches on your glass giving you worse visibility.

I use the method that "aleatory" uses, with the drier sheets. You can use used sheets as well and a friend of mine who has Bugatti's,Ferrari's and Lamborghini's' uses used sheets and all of the guys that take care of his cars say they can be used on every part of your car without any chance of causing any harm. They even use them for cleaning on the interiors.

Re: Dried bug cleaning tips

I've always used the same "bug slide" product that I use on the Harley after a road trip. A spray bottle filled with a 50/50 mix of peroxide and distilled water works well too and has never harmed any paint job where I've used it.
