DRL converted to extra hi beam

I was curious if anyone here has replaced the drl bulb with 55w HID bulbs and wired it in to come on when your factory brights come on.
I have a 2011 grand cherokee limited with the factory hids.
I also have a 99 JGC that i have put hids in and i love it when i turn on the brights and all four bulbs burn. they really light the world up on the back country roads where i live.

Re: DRL converted to extra hi beam

If you you are even going to consider this:

You have to work out getting a bulb to mount in that spot.

the wiring would be straight forward you would have to install a relay harness that took its trigger signal from the shutter lead circuit.
